Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Calculate precise material quantities by carefully interpreting complex architectural drawings and detailed construction specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive bills of quantities and obtain competitive quotations for review and final approval.
- Manage the preparation of sub-contractor agreements and official purchasing documents for senior management review.
- Submit timely progress claims to clients and consultants to ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting.
- Verify sub-contractor payment claims against actual site work progress to maintain budget compliance standards.
- Monitor project expenses closely to meet financial goals in accordance with established building contracts.
- Address all contractual matters between the main contractor and clients to resolve any disputes.
Job Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of quantity surveying practices within the building and construction industry.
- Proven ability to read and interpret detailed construction blueprints and technical specifications accurately.
- Excellent skills in contract administration and managing payment claims for large-scale building projects.
- Deep understanding of construction legal requirements and project risk assessment protocols for safety compliance.
- Proficient in managing administrative charges and ensuring sub-contractors meet quality and safety standards.
